Rebirth

The world’s seductive voices
Whispered in my mind constantly
It was in that time that I began to drown
In the darkest of all seas
I swam around this lonely world
Circling temptations heart
And in this time of misconception
My mind and soul began to part

As the last of depths approached
I reached rock bottom, agony
My will was gone and mind was numb
Caught in the devil’s ecstasy

As I gazed up into the dark
I was caught in disbelief
A blinding light shone down with warmth
A giant hand surrounded me

Without the slightest of a doubt
I knew that I had been saved
As we surfaced and I first breathed
The air of the unslaved

My God had watched my every move
Saw me falter, trip, and sin
Yet when I could bare no more
He appeared
And my birth took place again
