There is one corner
On this road
As I rise on its bank
There is a barn
With a rounded roof
And it's shape
And presence
Transform the field
On which it lays
Into home
In a split second
I feel roots extend
Where my foot
Meets the pedal
Like one day
I may be joined
To this land
Like back home
One day
My roots may dig
Into this fertile earth
And ground me here
But for now
It's just this corner
